We had a busy week in preschool! This week we used chalk to make drawings outside, and we discussed how to treat other people. We practiced using "please stop" when we don't like what someone else is doing. Our story this week was The Rainbow Fish by Marcus Pfister. The students used scissors (which was tricky for some!) to cut out a fish. Then we glued scales on, including one special shiny scale. | Some nurses came into our classroom to teach us about washing our hands this week. Also, we watched a video of a chameleon changing colors, and talked a little bit about camouflage. I can't wait for next week, and I am excited to see bright, happy faces on Monday! Check out some photos from the past few days, and as always, please contact me if you have any questions or concerns. |

We've had a great first week of preschool! The kids have had a lot of fun, and they're getting used to being in a new environment. This week we simply practiced our routines, and we talked about responsibilities in the classroom. We read two stories this week: "The Kissing Hand," and "Wemberly Worried." Please ask your child about these stories and see what they can remember! On Thursday, I sent home a lime green paper with information about sharing. Each child will be assigned a day of the week to bring an item (one) to share with the class. The item will be returned that same day. The child will have the opportunity to tell the class about their item each week. The day you were assigned will be your day for the rest of the year. If you haven't paid for milk for the semester yet, please visit the office. It's $20/semester for milk. Please be mindful of the parking signs when you come to pick up or drop off your child. Some parents have been parking in the bus lanes, so please remember to park on the gravel or across the street. Thanks! Thank you so much for coming to Open House, and for welcoming me into your homes for visits this summer! I think we're off to a fantastic start, and the first day of preschool is approaching rapidly.
Here are a few reminders for Monday:
